NNPCL Purchases Fuel from Dangote Refinery at N898 Per Litre

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has disclosed that it bought fuel from the Dangote Refinery at a price of N898 per litre, clarifying previous reports that suggested a lower purchase price.

On Sunday, NNPCL began transporting 300 trucks to the 650,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Lagos, marking the commencement of fuel loading. However, a spokesperson for NNPCL, Olufemi Soneye, addressed speculations regarding the cost per litre.

“We successfully loaded PMS at Dangote Refinery today,” Soneye said in a statement. “However, the claim that we purchased the fuel at N760 per litre is inaccurate. For this initial loading, the price was N898 per litre.”

Smooth Operations at Dangote Refinery

NNPCL reported that over 70 trucks have already been loaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), signaling a positive start to the refinery’s operations. The company aims to ensure consistent supply and distribution across the country in the coming days.
