President Tinubu promotes CNG as an affordable alternative to petrol during recent energy initiative discussions

In a recent address, President Bola Tinubu urged Nigerians to consider the new petrol and CNG pricing in Nigeria: petrol at N1,000 per litre and CNG at N200. During a meeting at the State House, he highlighted the government’s commitment to energy diversification and the pivotal role of compressed natural gas (CNG) as a cleaner fuel option.

The President also noted that the adoption of CNG could significantly reduce fuel costs for consumers. With the current petrol and CNG pricing in Nigeria, he reassured the public that incentives for commercial drivers to switch to gas would be offered at no charge.
