Political Parties Manipulation: Galadima Claims APC  Offering Billions to Other Political Party Leaders To Compromise Their Parties

Buba Galadima

Buba Galadima, a prominent figure in the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), has made serious allegations against the All Progressives Congress (APC), accusing them of sending emissaries to other political parties with offers of tens of billions of naira in exchange for their loyalty. Galadima made these claims during a recent interview on Arise TV, where he expressed his concerns about the growing influence of the ruling party in Nigerian politics.

According to Galadima, these emissaries approach various political party leaders, urging them to align with the current government’s agenda. The ultimate goal, he argues, is to ensure that by 2027, there will be no viable opposition candidate for the presidency. He also stated that this manipulation is part of a broader strategy to decimate opposition parties, citing the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), and All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) as examples of parties that have already been weakened by these tactics.

Despite these challenges, Galadima remains confident in the resilience of his own party, the NNPP. He claimed that his party is too “smart” to be compromised and pointed to the situation in Kano, where the APC is allegedly attempting to destabilize the state due to the influence of NNPP’s leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso.

“The APC is trying to destroy political parties in Nigeria,” Galadima asserted, adding that the ruling party’s efforts are not just political but also involve substantial financial inducements. “They are offering billions to political party leaders to align with them so that in 2027, they will have no viable competition,” he said.

Galadima further warned that the upcoming 2027 election would be a pivotal moment for the APC, asserting that no amount of intimidation, including violence, would prevent Nigerians from producing a strong alternative presidential candidate. Reflecting on his long history in Nigerian politics, Galadima emphasized his deep knowledge of the country’s constitution and expressed his confidence that Nigerians would stand up for their right to democratic choice.

As the political landscape heats up ahead of the 2027 election, these accusations of bribery and political manipulation raise significant questions about the integrity of the upcoming electoral process. Galadima’s statements reflect the growing tensions within Nigeria’s political environment and highlight the intense competition for power as the next general elections approach.
